Recommendation

Which plan to choose

Start with the lowest plan that covers today's requirements and upgrade when a measurable economic trigger justifies it, not simply in anticipation of growth.
Basic

First Shopify store

One or two operators, a straightforward workflow, and launch speed as the priority.

Grow

Growing team

Consistent sales, several staff members, and payment-rate savings that justify the plan difference.

Advanced

International brand

Higher volume, localized markets, live carrier rates, and deeper reporting.

Plus

Enterprise and B2B

Complex checkout, corporate processes, B2B catalogs, and priority service requirements.

FAQ

Questions about Shopify pricing

The most important points about subscriptions, transaction fees, and moving between plans.
Which Shopify plan is best for a new store?
Basic is usually enough for a first full-featured store. Move to Grow when more staff access is required or lower payment rates begin to offset the subscription difference.
Are €27, €79, and €289 charged every month?
They are indicative effective monthly prices for annual billing, where the annual amount is normally paid in advance. Monthly billing uses higher rates. Always check the checkout shown for your account and country.
Does Shopify charge a fee on every sale?
The payment provider charges for processing. When Shopify Payments is used, Shopify's additional transaction fee normally does not apply; with an external provider, it depends on the plan.
Can I start with Basic and upgrade later?
Yes. You can change plans in the Shopify admin, so there is no reason to prepay for capabilities that the store does not yet use.
How much do Shopify apps cost?
There are free apps and subscriptions ranging from a few euros to hundreds per month. A small working store often spends €30–€100, while a complex stack can exceed €300.
Is a domain included in the subscription?
Hosting and SSL are included, but a custom domain name is billed separately. You can buy it through Shopify or an external registrar.
Does a high-volume store need Shopify Plus?
Not always. Advanced covers many high-volume scenarios. Plus becomes rational when the business needs deeper checkout customization, B2B, many staff accounts, or enterprise processes.
